I was recently given a pair of 12" speakers (eci legend ix) and can't find info on them. they are old and the foam around the woofers has dry rotted. I wanted to know if there was any way to replace the speakers to make these into a useable pair of speakers for my studio. maybe as a playback set as I have nearfields for mixing or something. what would be some good woofers to consider to replace these with. I'm not trying to get too fancy, but I wouldn't mind using them for something. they have 9" horns and 3" tweeters.I can get box sizes later as certain speakers need so much air space. thanks for looking

There are quite a few sites that sell re-foaming kits for woofers. If your reasonably good with an X-Acto knife you can do it yourself.
