A friend of a friend had his Mac in a refridgerator type device. The fridge keeps the computer running at a cool temp, his said 86 degrees, and it is sound proof.

I could try to get a hold of the guy, but it might take a while. Anyone here know what it is, what it's called, and where I can find 'em? I'm curious to know approximately how much they cost as it would be a tremendous addition to my studio. I could track a lot more stuff myself.

TIAFYH.

Well, I wonder if you took a minifridge, gutted it, and just set the temperature setting to its highest, if that would work. The environment would still be temperature-controlled. I wonder if it would be too noisy, though. Probably. Plus cables would be an issue. It's a thought, though, right?

So you haven't heard of a specific product to do this...huh? I'm gonna have to call my buddy and find out. It was a pretty darn cool toy. It kept his control room free of any computer noise, (although it was ironic because his wall/window mounted AC unit blew the silence!). Anyway, I'll post back when I find out what he's got.

I'm 99% sure it wasn't a home-made remedy but I'll find out.

If anyone knows, please feel free to post it for me.

Thanks.

Those silence cases don't seem to be refrigerated.

I'm curious to know what it is as well, so please post the info once you have it!
