Is the Owens Corning 703 something that can be applied topically said:
- don't end a sentence with a preposition
- I think this is the first time I've seen the word "whereby" used in this forum
glad I could help.....

Here's what I did:

For less than your 300 bucks, I was able to create 8 2'x4' gobos, 4 of them 2" thick, and 4 of them 4" thick. Half of them have plywood - just basd on what scraps of ply I had available at the time.

I could literally surround my mic and person with 703 panels if I wanted. The way I have the legs designed, they can be flush with the ground, or set up at vocal mic height - the top at 7' or so. If you have some basic woodworking skills, this is a no-brainer DIY project, I'd say.

"This is the kind of impertinence up with which I shall not put."
-Winston Churchill, cleverly pointing out that this notion is silly to adhere to strictly. i.e. get over it; most of the rest of us have.

Hey Nate,

If you haven't already done so, check out the Studio Building forum farther down the main page. It has a lot of info on the materials you are considering. And it also has some links to DIY plans.

Hey Tom ~ Thanks, man. I hadn't even thought of that, but will journey there right now.

OK, everyone. Here's the update.

I went out earlier, today, and purchased a 2'x4' piece of Auralex. Upon my return home, I immediately sat down to try and figure out how I was going to make a height-adjustable unit on the order of the Reflexion Filter. My wife saw me engrossed with the 'drawing-up' stages, and told me to just go ahead - RIGHT NOW - and get what I really wanted. She really wanted to get it for me, anyway, and initially told me it would be no later than next week. But she won $1000 at the Casino (where she rarely visits), and I now have the Reflexion Filter sitting here before me, in all of its beauty :).

I cannot thank you all enough, though, for taking the time that you did to try and help me out. You are all super.
