The outro is just the verse riff reversed and looped. It was supposed to have some drum loop start and then segue into some kind of dance tune but by the time I came to mix it I had some distaste for dance music and threw it out. I'm pretty sure it could do with shortening in fact every time I go back to it I shortened it.
(NB: all the stuff I've been posting is from about a year ago. I got burnout from spending all my time on the same 11 or 12 tunes and went on hiatus..which just seemed to get longer and longer. Now I'm going back to it with fresh ears I figure getting a few opinions first couldn't hurt).
This tune is actually a rerecording of a tune I made in Acid years and years ago. Me and a few friends used to joke about how the sample was my theme tune, and we threw it into a whole bunch of stuff for a giggle.
I'm happy with the intro. Not to everyone's taste but it's not neccessarily for everyone else. That stays as it is. What can I say...I've always been a fan of wierd atmospheric noise.
The snare does sound deadish, but with my limited mixing capabilities it was a tradeoff between that and sticking out over the mix too much, so it's likely more my EQing than the sample. Interestingly the drums are the same samples I use on all the other music I've posted. I'm pretty sure it would be no hassle to throw another snare into the sampler and drag all the snare hits to that on the drum map. I'll have a look when I get the chance.
