recording w/ mbox

im getting my mbox in today and i was just making sure that the quality of the sound coming into my computer will not be affected by my lousy laptop soundcard... right?

If you're using MBox, then Mbox takes the place of your soundcard. Of course, as long as you are using the USB to get signal in and out of your computer. If you're not, you might as well not even have Mbox. So, the answer is no.

Nope, Mbox bypasses the soundcard via the USB connection.
