Helpful thoughts:
No vocal booth, sing in the bathroom.
Why not everyone sings in there!
No pop filter use a woman's nylon stocking, on a plastic needle point ring. It works.
As others have said Experiment, and have fun.
This is why a mixing board is so important, so that you learn the different nuances, this is what is lacking in computers....
Hands on, turning a knob here, and a little there.
Don't forget the reasons why you started to record.
