I cheat... I create the song in ACID, then dump the tracks into a mixer, and then add the vocals from there. Lazy... and stupid... and lazy... and stupid.

um...plug in the mic and hit the big red 'record' button...
that usually works for me...and if not, i quit with the mescaline for a couple hours and come back later...
