I'm using a marshall guitar amp with an emulated line out. Do I need a balanced guitar cable, from the amp's line out, to my soundcard's breakout box? I'm getting no audio signal with 1/4 to 1/4" mono cable.
The only way I get an audio signal is if I plug my guitar directly into line 1 of the breakout box. The signal is also weak. I know I can mic the amp but I do not have a mixer yet.
How do I, if possible, configure my soundcard's breakout box to accept an unbalanced signal when using my guitar amp.
I know I can go to a music store and purchase a 1/4" stereo guitar cable but I'm wondering if this the problem.
MIDI is working fine...just audio problems !!
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated....
Cheers
