Once again, Queue is the genius....unless Im overlooking what monitoring system you are using.....MONITORS.....having the greatest signal chain in the world isnt gonna mean diddley unless you have accurate monitors to hear it.....monitors are so critical i cant even begin to tell you how much....just type in "monitors" into the search function and see what I mean....

you already have nice mics,a nice pre/compressor, PC, software....you need monitors....

type of monitors?

so i guess my next burning question is what type of monitors?

i'm read countless debates about Near-field monitors and about flat being the best... but then some people prefer to have nice monitors that aren't completely flat....

i've heard the theory that the flatest monitors are the best so that you don't tailor your mixdown to those speakers, and it'll sound the best on any type of stereo system...

what are you're guys' opinions?

near-field, flat, powered, active,????

Depends on your $$$ budget for the monitors and amp......

thanks

thanks for the advice...

yeah i think i could swing 500 bones....

how about the Roland DS50A's or 90A's, since i use the Roland VS880EX to record? anyone have any experience with those?

since they have digital ins on them, does that make for a clearer signal, or is it just a "gimic" to get all VS users to buy them?

they do claim to have COSM speaker simulators, so is that almost like getting a bunch of different type of speakers in one?

for some reason i feel like i can already anticipate your guys' responses to this question! ;)

well if anyone has any info on that let me know (you all know how it is when purchasing a piece of studio/recording equipement... you go back and forth between this and that for weeks... scared that you'll make the wrong choice and regret it!)
