recording problems

I installed a used delta 66/omni in a P4 xp
.when installing driver got a message it was not signed
installed any way .
once up and running not getting any sound recording.
went to sounds and audio devices open it it showed the delta 66 levels at min. but none of the controls will work to raise them, downloaded driver from m-audio same.
I'm stumped

Download the uninstall program from M-audio and also get the latest driver for XP.
Uninstall the card with the uninstaller>reboot>reinstall and use the XP driver. You will need to unzip the driver download as it contains multiple files.

thanks for your reply. I did as you said to the best of my knowledge . The results are the same.I e-mailed m-audio teck support hopeing that they will have the solution.also called the people that built my system. thanks again Herb
