recording problems

....i use Adobe Audition 1.5 and i have a problem recording...when i record a track it records fine but when i play it back it only plays in the left speaker although it is set to the middle for playback...someone please help and explain to me how to fix this...it is very important!!! thanks!!!

Do you hear anything else through both speakers? I.E. Different programs, the "live" sound that is being recorded? Maybe you are recording only to the left side of a stereo track unknowingly?

Check and double check your cables and stuff that are hooked up to your monitors and interface, etc. That is often the problem, although it seems stupid.

Give us more detailed information about your setup, and we'll be able to help you much easier.

This question was answered in your other post, but you need to select a mono track in audition. A mono track will play back equally on the left and right.

how do you select a mono track? sorry i kno this is a stupid ? but im new to all this...thanks
