I have Cubase 5, and i got my Alesis io2 express audio interface a few days ago, I had it all set up and running with my guitar, but when I tried to record to a click track, it was SLIGHTLY out of time, I have not got any (noticeable) latency when I monitor or record a track, it is only when I play back a recording - It is very slightly EARLY. I could move every track and make them in time by ear, but I would rather work out what the problem is.
The best way to explain it would be if I had a click track, and I was recording a guitar on every click of the track, it would sound like one continuous beat; but when it is played back, it would sound staggered.
Rather than 1 2 3 4 , it would sound like 1,1 2,2 3,3 4,4.
So I explain things very badly
When I tried recording on Audacity I had the same problem - but I could actually see the tracks moving backwards when I stopped recording - I'm so confused!
I am on windows XP sp2, I have the ASIO4ALL driver with the Alesis io2 express.
If there is any information you need let me know, Please help!!
