recording mulitple channels

If i had 4 mics on a drum kit and wanted to record simultaneously 4 tracks in CEP, would I need 4 line inputs on a sound card? - what is the cheapest sc that would have this?

Yes you will also need a mixer with 4 preamps

The mixer in question is the Alto s-8

(basically the same as the behringer 1202)

I think it only has two xlr outputs.. does that matter?

(I'm a little consfused as you can tell..)

Yeh you've got enough preamps with that mixer, and just use the inserts to output to the delta 44 inputs
