Someone set me straight, if you would. If I were to record just me and my guitar and wanted a great sound, it would seem to me that I should be able to do that with having to spend fortunes. Tell me if I am on the right track...
It seems to me that if I were to buy an 8-tracking digital machine, something like a Rode Classic for vocals, a couple of mics for my guitar and a few v-72 tele mic pres that I should be able to get some sweet sounds. What else should I be looking at? Are mic pres as important with miking guitars (electric & acoustic) as they are with miking vocals?
I cant appreciate your help enough.
