HI all, im new here. And i hope this is the correct place to ask my question. I recently purchased audio technica atm650 dynamic microphone to pair it up with my esi maya44 PCI soundcard.
After plugging in the mic and use audacity to record, i can barely hear my guitar sound generated from my tube amplifier. I had max out the mic recording volume in ESI control panel. However, if i tried to monitor the volume through headphone, i can hear it pretty loud and clear. It is just when i tried to record it down and play back, the volume is way too low. i generally had to reamplify it.
FYI, i did not crank up my amp sound though as i thought maxxing out mic's recording level supposed to pickup every sound happened around my room. Really appreciate any help from veterans!! thanks!!
