Recording in different rooms for better acoustics

I've never really done this until just recently, I've been experimenting with taking my acoustic guitar into a couple different rooms in my house to hear different acoustics. The dining room is pretty live (hardwood floor), and I get a fuller, higher volume sound in the upstairs bathroom. I haven't recorded in these areas yet but that's the next step. Some of you guys do this sort of thing? Do you find you get better-sounding tracks this way?

Sure, you can. Natural reverbs can be cool. Bigger rooms are often better. Most rooms are pretty forgiving for guitar. Low frequency instruments can be a bit trickier. Try different positions in the room, and different mic positions too. Experimentation can be fun!

I like playing and singing in the bathroom. into the shower even. but not always
