Right now when i record i put my mic in a jacket hood so that the sound dosent bounce of the walls but im getting a mic stand and was wondering should i put like towels or something on the wall to reduce the outside noise picked up on the mic?

Put the towels and your jacket in the closet, and get into the biggest room yu have and try recording in that. It will sound much better.

If you are worried about outside noise, sing up!

Haha,

its just i dont have much room in my room, i got my dogs crate, dresser, and a stool for a fish tank.
Theres a spot infront of my closet i could set it up.

The bigger and open the space the better it can be. Just not too reflective, Gyms aren't the best without treatment. :)

I wouldn't use towels or clothes. I'd use ground beef. Any meat will do, but ground beef works the best.

That's what I invented, and it works :)

Are n00bs getting dumber or something?

Even at my n00biest, I wouldn't have done some of the moronic things n00bs do nowadays.

Lol @ mic in a jacket hood so the sound doesn't bounce off the towel covered walls.

I'm pretty sure Phil Spector did the same thing.
