hi my name is jeff and i love this
site its good too see musiclovers that helps each other
well i have a little bit of a question
i have read a lot af answers/questions on this site
but it still not all clear for me
the thing is , I want to record guitar in my computer
i own a pII 350 with sblive! card and a Korg AX1000G multieffex
i used to record to de mic in of de sblive
with the following : guitar -> korg ax1000g -> mic in
i never was really satisfied by the sound of it
and now i read that u never must record to a mic in
but u must always choose for a line in
but when i do that the sound is too soft
do i need a direct box or something like that?
or is there another solution and what about
the cabinet simulator on the Korg AX1000g
thanx a lot

put a mic in thee sound card, a good one that has a xlr or1/4 plug (then get a convertor from xlr to 1/8 or 1/4 to 1/8). use that mic to mic your amp, (guitar pluged in, duh). Try with going into microphone input then line in. See which is better. Control the volume of line in under your volume control on windows.
