recording drums with the fostex vf80ex?

im thinking of just useing a keyboard to record drums,

ive never used the midi on the recorder, how does it work?

can i quantize my keyboard?

Do you mean: (a) record your kb's drum sounds/pattern onto your VF or (b) record drum tracks into your (sampling) kb?

Either way, the MIDI hookup will be for sync/start/stop and not for notes.
