I think there may be a big difference between the the Digitech RP series and the GNX series. Like I said, I own a GNX1, as far as I can tell this pedal has a much more full sound than going direct into my amp. My amp is a Peavey Special 212 with 230 watts of power. This pedal sounds great if know how to use it and know what sound you are looking for.
I have guys come in with all of it, even the 'big time' rack stuff. It is all cheap and thin sounding. Any box that claims to do everything will almost always do nothing very well. Digitech should never be confused with profesional equipment. Don't even get me started on DOD. That is the stuff that Digitech makes that isn't good enough to be called Digitech.

Does that include boxes like the TC Electronic G-Major and/or Rocktron Xpression? I've been thinking about one of those, because I need a *good* chorus, tremelo, and delay. What would you suggest instead?
I was only talking about Digitech stuff. I have not heard the G-major or the xpression. The Rocktron Replitone is OK, but you get more out of a POD.

Ahh, I gotcha Farview. I've got a great guitar and a great amp, so I don't need any distortion or modelling from a POD. Just looking for quality mod/delay effects. Thanks for the response.

Distortion is the only thing that is hard to do. Delay, chorus, and even reverb (if you are listeng through a 4x12 cab) on any of these units will be fine. The big thing to worry about would be self noise.

What ever, it sounds good to me.
