recording distorted guitars?

yep. you really think it sounds good?
if so, i'll start working on tracking the entire song (as i said earlier, that riff is just the backing riff for a solo)

Yeah, I like it. Super crunchy. I'm imagining it along with a nice bass sound to fill out the low end, and I think it could sound pretty good like that.

It can be a waste of time to try and nail down the tone you want to use before you do anything else for the track. Lay that over a drum mix with a bass track and see what happens to it. It may not stand up as well, but I'm thinking it probably would. Keep an open mind for changing it up to suit a mix.
 
what should i use to program drums for it?


any other input from anyone?
 
For programming drums, I've gotta suggest Drumkit From Hell Superior. That's what I use when programming drums and I think it's fantastic.

As long as you have a MIDI sequencing capabilities in your DAW and plenty of hard drive space, it's a great investment.
 
haha i really don't want to buy it though.
i have propellerheads reason, but i cant load the mp3 into it to program the drums with it, so i don't really know how to go about that. :confused:
