When recording direct for reamp (guitars mostly) Im assuming that the most accurate/cleanest signal would be desired. What signal path would you recommend? I have a Digi002 as my interface into PT Le and have API and Focusrite Liquid Channel Preamps and an Avalon U5 Direct Box.
Would going straight into the line inputs of the 002 be the most accurate? Any suggestions?

I am a big fan of just micing it in the first place, but if you are going this route us the Avalon DI flat.

Yeah thats what I figured. The main reason I use reamping is cause as of now I only have a single room studio, and I hate having amps blasting when trying to record. Also this allows me to layer the same take through different settings on my triaxis to thicken things up.

Thanks for the help guys.

Hey that is actually a pretty good idea. Especially because timing problems could be edited out before the actual tone is captured. Never thought of that.
