heh sorry. I guess im just to used to offended and defensive people on here its a habit to apologize. Hmm, sorry about the broken link. I copied that out of a print out that could be a little obsolete. Let me see if i can find it again. I also recently found an article saying how it also works to mic the outer edge of the bell when close up. Dont face the mic down the center but aim it around the edge. I will look for that article also. Im also planning on getting out the bone in the studio these next few days to do some more experimenting to see if i can find any other tricks. I will experiment to see what works best with different dynamics and tones.

http://www.sospubs.co.uk/sos/jan99/articles/brass778.htm - Heres the link, it should work because i just went there. But if it doesnt, go to www.sospubs.co.uk and do a search on brass. You should find it.

http://industryclick.com/magazinear...easeid=5570&magazinearticleid=65228&siteid=15 - the other article i found lately. I can its good even though i skimmed through it pretty fast. But the point about micing the edge is a really good idea, however it will be tough to get the horn player to hold the mic there.

http://www.studiocovers.com - One of the best resources for recording i can find on the internet. Very worth reading every article this place has.

Good luck everyone. And nice meeting you too Lt. Bob. Let me know if you need any info and i will try and help.

Danny
