I am going to be recording vocals guitar banjo and harmonica....I need a mic and preamp combo that will make my voice sound warm and possibly somewhat sparse

I have looked at some AT microphones and the mxl v67g or a little higher end marshal tube mic...as far as preamps I have looked at the dmp3 and the vtb-1
would either of these combinations do me any good? or would others in the same price range do any better will the v67g be good for clawammer banjo vocals and guitar? I am thing a shure bullet for harmonica
thanks

i know it's kinda a joke question but the guy in my band recorded himself with a uke on a 635a...sounded old timey enough. i'd love to do a recording with nothing but 635a's and see how it would turn out.
