Is there any difference between recording bass with the PODxt and with the POD that's made for bass? Pretty much the same thing with different presets or a whole other animal?
Dogman said:Hey guys, not to hijack the thread, but I have been looking at getting something like a POD xt, as I don't have a great amp, mic system for my guitars. I am currently recording using the amp modeler in my digital 4 track. Is the pod worth the money, as I can't use a real amp due to noise, and how close I would have to be to it? I just started looking at stuff today, so if you had some input, I'd like to hear it. Thanks.

That doesn't mean that you can't use a standard POD for bass, just that the bass pod will most likely give you more flexibility and ease of use with bass tracks. Personally, I think the bass pod is much more useful and convincing on bass than a podxt is for guitars.
