Recording 12 String Acoustic Guitar (please help!!)

How do i get a good clear recorded sound from my 12 String? I have an AKG 125 Mike hooked up to a Korg D12 Digital Rcorder. I have tried various miking positions, both close and far, but it still sounds too bass biased. Please Help!

what gear do you have to work with?

Move the mic up the neck until the bass is low enough. I go at the 12th fret and point at the soundhole.

I usually double mic it: one near the hole and another at the neck for more string noise. I noticed although that every acoustic reacts differentely.

Don't forget to low shelf!

Haven't heard of an AKG 125 but an SD condenser 3 feet away should do the trick.
