Hello,

I'm new to home studio recording and i just want to ask this one question. I want a home studio that can record my acoustic drum set. Now, to accomplish this im probably gonna go with the PreSonus FireStudio Project w/ Cubase LE 4 software because of the 8 xlr inputs on the interface. However, I would like the mixdown to take place in protools. Something that will allow me to run 8 inputs into a pro tools system will cost me over $1,000. So therefore is it possible to record in cubase and somehow export or transfer those 8 tracks to protools?

Thanks

Cubase to PT

YES! Absolutely. I have heard of a lot of people doing things that way. Usually you can just export .Wav files from Cubase, and then import to Pro Tools. It would be cool if they had a way to save a Cubase session as a PT session; alas, it does not exist.
