Recommend me some monitors

I'm mixing at home on a DAW setup and need some monitors. My requirements are that they should be active(don't need to be very powerful), small(ish), have good bass response (though not thunderous) and durable. This last is important as I have young children who are likely to poke holes in unprotected speaker cones. I really like the look and reviews or the KRK Rokit rp5 or 6 but am concerned that the speakers would quickly be damaged. I did contact KRK who quickly and courteously replied that they had no plans to provide grills with these speakers.

Those KRK will probably be your best bet parsenote.
can you get the monitors up and out of little finger reach?

my monitors are sold today on Ebay ADAM S3A and Genelec 1032.
I strongly recommend them since they are one of the best. But I am afraid I am a bit biased.

I moved up from the krk's and got some Mackie 5's, a little more expensive but I think worth it as they sound MUCH better IMO.
