I'm in the market for a used midi keyboard controller in the $300 range... any ideas of specific models I should look at? I'd preferr weighted keys... the sounds on the keyboard itself don't matter as it'll just be controlling software...

I'm a drummer and know little of these things...

one of the few 88 key weighted controlers avail for that kind of $ would probably be the fatar or sl controllers. You might be able to find a casio privia px100 for about that used, or an older roland rd300 or something like that.

I'd take a serious look at the Axiom stuff put out by M-Audio now...they have a transport bar which can start/stop your recording and etc. Just my opinion though.

Semi Weighted Keys.
