Hi everyone,....i did this a million times.....i think! Iremember recording a guitar track then fadeing away into silence at certain parts of the song,...i don't remember what i did to have the unit do this but i was away for a few days then came back to redo the guitar track. I started bringing down the fader for the guitar track to fade away,...i hear the fadeing going down but on play back there is no fadeing at all,..it's one constant volume. Hmmmm?.....i did this so many times but i just can't remember how i did this. I remember that all i do is i start recording then i lower the volume of the track i'm recording to get a fade away effect then on play back you can hear it but now i'm very very lost !!..please help!! Recorder is a vs 1824-cd....only 6 months old....i'm still learning but i've done this a few times so don't tell me it's not possible unless your bounceing. I just don't know if it's my memory going bad or the 1824...hmmmm? Thank you!

maybe while recording your guitar with the fadeout you lowered the input level, not the track fader. Of course, I think it's better to just let the sound decay naturally to track, then do your fades during mixdown.
