Hey everyone I just ran across this site and decided to sign up I hope you don't mind if I come and hang out every now and then :)

I belong to a music competition site and have entered an Ozzy vocal challenge war. The song is Over The Mountain.

Does anyone have a formula for re-creating the vocal effects for this song? Any help will be appreciated.

Double the vocal very tightly. (sing it twice) If that doesn't do it completely, through a chorus on it.

Your right the vocal does sound doubled now that I listened to it again. It also sounds like one of the tracks may have been pitch altered just a pinch. I used a wave plugin and can get a similar result. Still sounds like it's missing something though.

Any ideas on reverb settings or delay? If it's there it's subtle, and I'm having difficulty putting my finger on it.

I use a pitch transposer tuned about .25- .35% or so. Sounds Ozzy-ish to me.

I tried both I cloned the vocal track to double it and then slid the cloned track over a few ticks and raised the pitch with a transposer effect around .35 and it gave pretty good results.

Thanx again!

:)
