RE: bad experience with bayview
I am the owner of Bayview Pro Audio and usually don’t post in the forums but do to the post from forum member steepetals I feel that it is in the interest of all here to hear both sides of this story.
Late Wednesday on Dec. 23rd I took the call from forum member steelpetals and he explained to me that he was interested in a focusrite Peta and was wanting Bayview to include a free Cascade microphone with it because he had found a similar product on our site (the Focusrite Twintrak Pro) that does include a free microphone and felt that sense the Twintrak included a free microphone that we should give him one with the focusrite Penta. I them asked him to hold and checked to see if there was enough margin in the product to include one with it, unfortunately there wasn’t and I explained to him that I would be willing to include an upgraded Cascade VX20 for $50.00 extra. He them told me that he didn’t want to do that and what else could I offer to entice him to purchase from Bayview. I them offered him a popfilter (not mentioned in his post) and he rejected it, running out of an additional offers I then told him that if the extra incentives offered wasn’t appealing that he might want to go back to Musician’s Friend for the product.
These microphones cost Bayview a lot of extra expense, we have sent out thousands of them to our customers (hopefully many of you here) for this customer to consider this false advertising is very disheartening to me. Bayview is proud offer these microphones for free on many of the products listed on our site and still be able offer the product at a very competitive price. Not to sound to cleashy: We can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time.
