I produce tracks primarily from virtual instruments in Pro Tools. I want make these tracks more "real" sounding so I routed the virtual instrument track out of my Mbox, into my Presonus Eureka, then back into the Mbox and into Pro Tools. For me, this made perfect sense, however I could not get any substantial volume without getting a very annoying hiss. It DOES create a more analog sound but unfortunately i can't get it to record cleanly.
Is this form of re-amping tottally wrong? Is there any particular reason for the hiss?
