RC-30P Footswitch for 688?

Hi fellow Tascam users-

I currently use a 688 for recording, and was interested in purchasing one of the RC30P foot switches for punching in and punching out. Can this be used with a 688? I've been looking for details online, but couldn't find any.

Plus, I always record one track at a time on Scene 10 - I'm unfamiliar with using any of the other scenes (besides Scene 12, which is mixdown mode).

Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, I've seen that, I guess I was really asking where do you hook it up? How does it know which track to punch in and out...? etc. Does it have to be on a certain Scene?

Anyone here familiar?
