Standel Amps

Frank Garlock and Bob Crooks were good friends of mine. Standel was the first company to use my JBL "F" series speakers. Great amps, great company, great people. They were based in Temple City, then in El Monte, California. After Standel went under, Frank wrote for one of the big jazz magazines.

Thanks Harvey....It's always great to know the history of what made music what it is today.
The one thing I was able to gather from that article is the rough age of my amp , for the control panel is on the top, there is no illumination, and between the two 15s is a slit sound port.
