Random Stopping

So is there any way to make sure cool edit doesnt stop during playback randomly. If i am zoomed in on a portion of a recording, and often when i am zoomed out, cool edit randomly stops if i am playing the recording. does anyone else experience this?

I think you mean if you zoom in and hit play then zoom back out, it only plays what the zoom in portion was. I've experienced things like that a lot.

I feel your pain. It's your cpu. You (and I) need a faster computer.

i dont think it is my cpu... i have a 1.53 gig. seems fast enough.

if it's your cpu, it stops sometimes and moves on again, it 'hesitates'. But when you have the whole track in view, it will certainly play the whole thing, unless you hit play when you were zoomed in, and zoomed out when playing. Then it will only play the piece you zoomed into. Or you have some kind of bug.

CEP will only playback up to the amount of time you indicate in the window for begin and end......
if it says :30 seconds...then that's all you get...

try putting 5:00 in there and see if it still happens...
