Sorry, I guess you weren't there when I snuck in. Your sister didn't tell you??
:D

i no its sad... but my drum set is of even lower quality than that HB set shown above :-D. but at least its 5 piece...

never tried any good brand of drums, and the recording studio near me mics the drums for you. so i dont know what mics they use... but i agree with Duotone, Paiste SIgnatures are the best.

ever heard of Titan? its been 5 months and one tom has already messed up... wanna know why? the drum set is made out of plywood.

Aren't most drums made from plys of wood?

And Paiste's are very Taiste!!!

DW's are awesome as well as OCP, Tama starclassics, & Mapex am good!

I choose drums by the materials and hardware features. I've never liked Pearl because I don't want a pipe stuck inside my drum disturbing the air column. I've always thought they had the worst idea for tom mounts.

But when you LISTEN to Pearls though, they sound very nice!!

Any reputable drum company has a line or two that are very good. Otherwise you'd see pros all playing the same brand.

Do your realize that CB, HB, Titan,..., all of those cheap "drums" are made in the same factory overseas and then sold under the differnt names.

True...sad, but true. Kinda like chinese mics.

sonor, the rolls royce of drums. Any day I would pick these over any other drum manufacturer. They beat dw or pearl or any other drum kit for price and performance too!

The best kit I ever got to play was an old maple Camco kit. They were incredible sounding. Larger than life. The techie had tuned the kit to perfection: each tuned to their fundamental pitch, as well as in-tune with all the other drums, as well as in tune with the room. I don't know how he did it!

Ah, sweet memories.

Anyway, my current favorite mics for drums are a pair of Peluso CEMC6s, an Audio Technica AE-2500. I really like the new Earthworks drum mic kit, but I don't have the money, nor a good enough room to justify the purchase.
