I just recently purchased a us-122 MKII and have been more than slightly frustrated thus far; I keep hearing random clicks and pops every once in a while during recording and playback. Sometimes during playback I hear them once, but when I listen to the track again the clicks are gone. Then other times they are constant in the same spot, pointing to the recording. I'm a bit puzzled as to what the cause of all this is, and I've tried a number of things, but I'm wondering if I could get some feedback.
I'm using Audacity 1.3 on a Windows 7 64-bit laptop. I had to download a Vista driver off Tascam's website because the one that came with the product wasn't compatible with Windows 7. I suspect the driver may be part of the problem, but I'm not sure.
I'd appreciate any help!

I too recently got this soundcard along with a new laptop and controller so the process of elimination that isolated the Tascam as the main offender took so long.....painful
I found a program that you use to test which drivers work and don't basically
TheTascam windows 7 driver recently released still doesnt work in Cubase 5

The program that tests is "dpclat" http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml
very handy latency checker

I have this same problem, and I thought I'd add my experiences here.
My Tascam US122 mkii was working fine on a Macbook Pro (last year's with core 2 and 9400m), but that laptop isn't here anymore, so I've switched to a Gateway running win7 64bit. I hear pops and clicks in my recordings, and it is extremely frustrating as it seems nothing will stop them from happening. I used Audacity to do the recording, set latency to 1000ms. Turned off every single other application and disabled a bunch of devices.

Does anyone have this interface working on a win7 laptop?
