why does my system-screen say i have 512, when i now i have 1gb ram

Maybe your computer doesnt support 1 gb ram so it only sees it as 512? I read somewhere about that happening.

mobile AMD athlon XP-M 2800+, 2.13 Ghz - and then it says 512 Ram

The model is ASUS A2D
