Does anyone know the most common program/programs radio stations use, to record n brodcast with?

A radio station doesn't record.

The last time I was at there there wasn't any program being used for broadcasting.

ah! but they DO record!!
half the commercials you hear or all the replays you hear are recorded at the station.
commercials are free to record there as long as you pay for air time. but, shhhhh....don't tell my clients ;)

Seriously though I didn't know that...

take a look at http://www.psquared.net/. they have a lot of radio broadcast and tracking software. not sure how widely it is used, though. there are various cheaper options, such as radio server player etc.
