Hey guys....I don't usually like putting up a tune while I still have another one on page one. But, this is the last song for my new CD, so I want to put aa quick mix up and get help as quick as possible.

I'm not sure about the levels on this. I've played around with louder vocals, lower vocals, louder drums, lower drums, etc...I like the snare sound I got, so I might be mixing it too loud, I've lost perspective. It's not a finished tune, alot of the lyrics are there to fill in gaps for now.

I also put slide on this, my new toy. :D

Any mix help would be greatly appreciated, especially levels......thanx alot.

The bass drum feels like it's going to drive a nail into the centre of my head but I LIKE IT LIKE THAT.
A really different intro with that near industrial guitar.
The riff guitar & the slide really take this to a different place for a RAMI tune. Great to hear you really experiment & win.
You've tucked that slide into the tool box rather well.
Ah, the drums, the drums ......

Hey Rami a quick review for the quick mix... typing as listening... that intro part just rocks. After that (I'm listening on my monitoring headphones) I probably haven't heard bass that deep on these things... sounds good on these, but don't know if it's too much or not. You're rockin that slide guitar, actually this whole tune has a rocking groove to it. Nice. Vox are clear and understandable. Collective vox in the chorus sound good 2. Yeah sounds great to these ears man, powerful and crunchy mix. Nothing really to recommend but to check the bass levels on a few systems to make sure you're not going to be blowing anything out. Congrats on another CD too.

Wow...cool start man....that's pretty wild. Love the slide...that kicks man. Killer drums...that's a great sound. Nice bassline...that drives the tune well. Damn, that slide kicks....and that ratty rhythm guitar thing is sweet...sort sounds tinny and dirty...almost like a distorted Dobro....great rattle to it.

Sweet tune man....I hear nothing I'd want to change....this is one of my faves from you. Nice sounds, and I love the vibe...it's just sorta dirty rock and roll shit...:D

Sounds Awesome

nothing sticks out to me...I wish i could get a drum mix like that. :(

It's a pretty catchy tune Rami I like it! That's about the way my world is too.Snare sounds great but try to cut it back just a shade and raise the lead vocal up just a little.Slide sounds good, bass and drums sound really good.I like the backups... kinda sounds like the old Spenser Davis tune- I'm a Man. kevin www.secondhandcherry.com http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=538992
Hey Kevin, I just put up a new mix, brought down the snare and kik, and slightly btought up the vocals. Thanx alot for the help.

Thanx alot, Ray. Like I said, I brought down the bass drum a bit. Hopefully that will deter any speaker detonation. :)

Thanx alot, Snakedog. I'll be checking this on different systems before I burn a CD, just to make sure.

Thanx buddy.

Just to let you guys know, that trashy guitar is actually a bass. I tuned the Low E down 6 frets so I could slide up to an E. I then put it through an octaver to get the higher octave and mixed them. I put that through a plug-in called TRASH and used one of their trashy sounding guitar presets.

Thanx for all the help, I'm still working on this. :)

Pretty heavy intro...cool trick with the bass guitar tuning ....gives this a real ear catching quality right at the start.....awesome vocals as usual for you...I feel bad listening to your tunes cause I can never find anything to nit :p..., and wish I could give more constructive feedback instead of fluff, but this just rocks! So hear ya go Rami, another post of fluff!
You got it going on man, rock on!

Sounds pretty good to me Rami. Vox sound great. If anything, to me, the bass gets a little boomy in the passages like from :11 to :27. Maybe it's just a little too loud. Other than that, mix sounds good. nice job. :)

Listening today for first time so I should have the updated version...

That slide intro and the break at 3:20 is very cool and original - great stuff.

I couldn't tell if you were using that slide throughout - are you? If yes, the accuracy is excellent - no pitch problems at all...

The kick is hot at the beginning but seems to ease off as the song progresses. Maybe my ears just get used to it.

Bass doesn't poke out too much on my headphones - bold but not obtrusive.

Guitar sounds really nice - love the crunchy sound you're getting here. Of course it's always been nicely toned.

Drums sitting nicely as always...settled in nicely in your new room.

Vocals sitting nicely too - just a touch above the instruments and harmonies blending/sounding nice.

Congrats on your new CD - post a link where we can pick one up when they're done...is you friend going to do the cover again?

Yo Greg. Yeah, I tamed the bass in the rest of the tune. The riff you're talking about is on a seperate track and I was scared to cut the bass on it because I wanted it to really rumble (in a good way). But I might have to cut a bit on it. Thanx for the feedback, buddy.

Thanx alot, Ido...I'll let you all know when the CD comes out. :)

I'm playing slide on the lines between the vocals in the verses, too. I'm having fun with that thing, but I have to watch out not to put it in my next 15 tunes.:D

What a hook! Damn!

The tails on teh slide guitar could overlap a bit more into the other verse parts, if you know what I mean.

Great lyrics. Background lyrics sound great. No quibbles at all really, just a great rock and roll song.

Thanx Super....I know what you mean about the overlapping guitar. Good point. Thanx, man.

It's pretty tight - I couldn't tell if it was sliding the chord up on the guitar or using a slide. That's why I asked. Cool....:):D:):)

You did good on your re-mix Rami, I can hear the vocal much better and the drums are good. I notice this is a 10mb file..is it a wav file?:p

Thanx Kevin!:)

It's a 320kps MP3. The wav was much larger than that.
