quick live recording question

I already asked one question about recording next months live show. My next question is this;

Since the mixer they are using has no real bussing capabilities. If I put some "room mics" out to catch ambience would this cause feeback since theyll be playing back through the speakers?

You can set them in front of the stage stage level, I've seen alot of major bands do this when recording live albums.

You could also depending on the room put them far in the back, which may hurt your audience fade in and outs a little because of the delay, but that shouldn't cause feedback either.

Most likely. Take a small mixer to blend them with the house board feed, or record off a pre-fader aux if available.
