Pleads the 5th...
I've had nothing but problems with the Lycos Listening Room as far as other people being able to listen and/or download my mp3's from there (but it was worth a try), so I'm looking into mp3.com. The question: If I'm only interested in putting my tunes up on the site for others to listen to with the possibility of marketing the actual song/lyrics for someone else to perform, and not necessarily to promote myself as a "band" or a notable musician, would I be better off just submitting them in the P4P category (which is free), or is the premium whatever package the way to go. I'm looking for Pros and Cons of both from those of you who are either members of the site, or others who have simply heard things, good or bad about the sign-up levels. Thanx, Tom.

Well, I cast fate to the wind, and posted on mp3.com. The tunes should be acessable in a couple of days. I'm still interested on the pros & cons of the different packages... ...Is the premium service worth the $20.00 a month, and what do you really get?

On that $20 a month thing, just pass it up for now and see how your site does. You'll be able to see how much you've earned on your site, and if you don't get over $20 a month, well, duh, don't get it. But you can always "upgrade" later, that's what I'd suggest...

Don't be surprised if your music isn't "approved" for a little while, like a week or so... that's just how it is over there...
