Hey!
How would I transfer tracks from a vfo8 into cool edit pro
to mix.

thanks

If it works the same way as the MR-8 you download the wavmanager software from the fostex site and transfer tracks from the recorder into your PC via a USB hookup.
If it is not like the MR-8 someone else will have to help you.

Does the VF08 have a SCSI output (long computer looking port) on the back of it? I have a VF16 and use the SCSI out to hook up to a Jaz drive which I can save songs I save on the VF16 to as wav files. Then I take my Jaz drive to my computer and hook it up there and copy the wav files over then load them up in my editing software. If your VF08 does have a SCSI port than I'd recommnd going this route with the Jaz drive, you can get one off ebay for like $25. I got mine for $30 with the SCSI card to put in my computer.

It has an optional card slot for an scsi hook up which im
planning on getting. If I do it that way, can I put each
track in a track of it's own in cool edit pro (ex: drums in
one track guitar in another ect.??

Thanx
