Question: Why is Steinbergs the grand 3gb and has only 1 mode.

I think there's an option where you can change the sound of the piano "bright, normal, soft, hard" etc. Plus there's probably different samples for velocity.

Also, the individual samples may be recorded at a higher bit depth/sample rate which naturally makes them bigger.
 
is 3G really a big deal? personally i'm glad its as laid back as it is. i played with it in the store and fell in love.
 
3 gb is just the library size, sounds like your computer is not up to snuff
