question on subwoofer

Could I hook up a bass amp, Crate bt100, to my mixer for use as a subwoofer??? What would be the best way to do it??? I thinking it would be the same as a powered speaker, that is, the bass amp... I have plenty of routing possibilities.. thanks

the only way this would work reasonably well is IF you can assign an output in mono thats low passed at like 80-120hz...

Just a guess but that combo amp may likely not have a lot of natural extension in the lowest range. It would be interesting if you have a way to test a tone from say about 80 down to see where if falls off.
Maybe eq to pull it up some but watch out for were it starts swinging the cone but without sounding. Don't go there.
