My pickup selector top keeps falling off when I am playing. Any thoughts on how to keep it on aside from gluing it or just leaving off. I can play all nice and soft and delicate-like, but I need to let things go once in a while and I am getting a little tired of looking like I just got out of a knife fight after each jam session.

If you don't want to glue it, maybe you could bend the metal slightly so it has more grip on the knob. Or you could shove some folded paper in the knob to make the fit tighter for the metal part.

I wrap double sided tape around the metal blade (1 wrap only), then press fit the plastic top on.
You can still tug the top off if you want, but it won't just pop off...

I had the same problem. On mine, the slot inside the nob was getting sloppy. Went to the music store and picked up a couple of replacement nobs for a few bucks and that was the end of that problem.

A couple?

As in.......just play till it falls off, then replace again.

Either way, that was what I wanted to do, I just didn't want to spend the money if they would be the same.

Thanks.

Di Marzio make some very good replacement selector switches and while you are at it check out the stewmac site, they too have a selection, although some of theirs could possibly be made in China 'nuff said'.

Tap the plastic piece and put a hex set screw in there. :)
