Hey, I read on here somewhere that you sequence with Cakewalk 3. I've been wondering about some of these old programs that came and went before I ever owned a computer. Do you know of anywhere I can get a copy of Cakewalk 3? It probably fits on a couple floppies, doesn't it? And is it considered pirating if I try to find an old, outdated program just to goof around with? I searched a little, but it's not a real hot item !! Thanks.

Look you two, enough of the cryptic stuff!

Besides, shouldn't it be Red Amber Green :D

If Cakewalk 3 is a MIDI-only program, how come there's an option in there to insert a WAV file? Will it play audio but not let you do anything to it? And also, how come when I try to stick a WAV in there just for the fun of it, I get an 'Out of Memory' message? I have 192 mb of RAM. This is no big deal. After all, I have Sonar, but I was just wondering if you have to do anything in the settings to allow for a specific amount of memory allocation. Didn't see anything. Having fun playin with the old boy, though. And it runs like a deer on WinXP!!

...Yup. It designed to mess with MIDI only ;) However, can trigger rather "small" kind of wave files. If you reffer to the help files, see Wave events VS MCI Command events. You're right, one of its bug is can never opening wave files over 5Mb (...my experience, but not so sure...) ;) Have you tried small sized wave files?

Er, yeah. Unless they're upside down of course. But then everything's upside down in Australia acording to you Northern Hemisphere blokes ;)

No worries Jaymz, there's a spare desk in the drawing office, the one with the lap-top PC sitting on it. Help yourself. Just keep the noise down, I'm busy, er, working right now :D
