Do you leave your breakout box plugged in all the time, or do you unplug when not in use?

Mine's always on, and I noticed the chord was hot the other day. Should I be unplugging this sucker? :D

Thanks!

Them converters get hot. Heat is generally not a good thing as it can lead to premature component malfunction. But the 1010 was desgined to work for long periods of time but having it on all the time could reduce it's lifespan. Why not just unplug it when your not using it?

My whole rig, including Delta/computer, is powered through a power conditioner, which has a master switch. Everything goes off when not in use.

I turn mine off when I'm not using it too. I don't know if leaving it on will hurt it, but it can't be good for it.

mine has been left on for as long as 2weeks str8... it was hot but it still works just fine.. i'm not the type of person to shut my computer down everyday, and you know when the computer is on the delta is on(if its plugged in).. i do have mine on a power conditioner but is not something i always reach to.
my studio stays at 68-70 degrees so i know the unit isn't gonna over heat...just to be safe tern it off

It turns off when you shut your computer off. I don't worry about it, and I have mine in a small box mounted sideways with very little room for airflow.

Unplugging the box while the computer is on is DEFINATELY not recommended.
