Unpossible!
I'm trying to find an amp for a buddy of mine. He says marshall made a small combo amp - probably 2 12" Celestions - that was all tube, but was stereo. He wants to run his stereo effects into one. I can't seem to find such an animal.

Anybody know what model the amp he is thinking of is?

I know they have a solid state stereo combo...not sure about the tube version.
Yesterday, I was at GC and played a 1-12" Celeston tube amp...it sounded ok...I think it retailed for $1079.00.

Marshall has a few hybrids out there that have a tube-pre and solid state amp. They are pretty "tubey". I don't know of any "all tube stereo combo" amps marshall ever made. I know you're friend might be convinced it is all tube but is he mistaking a hybrid for all tube....I could easily see how someone could confuse a hybrid tube with an all tube amp.

Don't get me wrong, Marshall has been in the game for quite a while and they may have made an All tube stereo amp throughout their years but I don't see where they still make one today.

MG is completely solid state as far as I know.
Are you sure your friend isn't calling a regular old "2x12" combo "stereo" because there are two speakers in it?

Probably.

Yes, I'm sure that's not what he was thinking. However, I am starting to think his memory is not so good. :D
